TANCET (Tamil Nadu Common Entrance Test) is an entrance exam required for admission to post graduate courses like MBA, MCA, ME, M.Tech, M.Arch, M.Plan. The exam is conducted by Anna University Chennai for admission to various institutes in Tamil Nadu like Anna University Coimbatore, Anna University Trichy, Anna University Tirunelveli, Government, Government aided Institutes and Government Quota seats in private Institutes. To get Anna university admissions, candidates need to score well in TANCET 2013 entrance exam.
The candidates aspiring for Anna university admissions will have to appear in TANCET and submit the application form. TANCET application forms can be obtained through post. To obtain the application form by post, candidates need to send a request along with the payment of fee by demand draft. The application form is also available online on the website and students can download it. As specified in the notification, the Anna University application form will also be available at various centers and can be obtained in person. For all the programs, there is only one Anna University application form and those who wish to appear in more than one program will have to pay an additional examination fees.

The Anna University TANCET notification for application forms are
generally issued in the month of March in various newspapers,
educational sites etc. Generally, the examination is held in the
month of May.
In order to get admission into the desired course, it is important that students prepare well for the exam and score high. The exam is of 2 hours duration. The questions are multiple choice questions. Students should practice using previous year papers to get familiar with the paper pattern. Random guessing should be avoided as the paper has negative marking. The TANCET paper for MBA test candidate's knowledge in the areas of Business Situation, Reading Comprehension, Quantitative Ability, Data Sufficiency and Verbal Ability. MBA paper consists of 100 questions. The papers for ME, M.Tech, M.Arch consists of one specialization section in addition to a compulsory section. The exam is conducted at various centers throughout the country for the convenience of candidates.
